OLIVIA JAMPOL

Olivia is an actor, writer and filmmaker living in Brooklyn, New York.

She spent her childhood running around mostly naked through the coffee fields of Costa Rica and performing for guests at the bed & breakfast where she grew up. She left her tropical home for frigid Boston to attend Harvard University where she studied Filmmaking and Literature. Now she lives in Brooklyn with her queen cat, Remy Ma.

She is a former member of the Bats, the resident acting company at the award-winning Flea Theater in New York. As a lover of new/developmental theater, she has participated in dozens of readings, workshops and developmental performances of courageous and bizarre new work. She has been in over a dozen award-winning short films and web series, and has been lauded for her strong presence and sharp sense of humor.

Thankful to have played many strong, smart characters on stage, some of her recent productions include Charlotte Corday in The Revolutionists at Playhouse on Park in West Hartford, CT (nominated for Best Ensemble at the CT Critics Circle Awards), Leslie in Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom, directed by Joel Schumacher, The Woman in Wolf in The River, written & directed by Adam Rapp, and the world premiere of NYT Critics' PickAJAX by A.R. Gurney, directed by Stafford Arima.

Next to acting, her other love is filmmaking; her short film, JEANNIE, shot on 16mm, has garnered accolades at numerous festivals and is in the permanent collection at MoCAD. She is currently in development of her first feature.
