OLIVIA JAMPOL

Olivia (she/her) is a filmmaker, writer, and actor living in Brooklyn, New York.

She grew up on a coffee farm in Costa Rica and attended Harvard University, where she studied Filmmaking and English (not the language, but the “I don’t have marketable skills” degree). She lives in Brooklyn with her cat, Remy Ma.

As a filmmaker, she loves creating worlds that blur the lines between reality and fantasy. Her films are provocative and absurdist, unsettling and funny, combining elements of horror, psychological thriller, and dark comedy. She’s most interested in exploring the depths of human desire and obsession through unapologetically complex female protagonists, like herself.

Her short film, JEANNIE, shot on 16mm, was acquired for the permanent collection at MoCAD, and her newest feature, HOMESTALKER, which earned multiple 8s on The Black List (less than 4% of scripts earn annually), was a semi-finalist for the 2023 Black List Features Lab and won Best Unproduced Screenplay of 2024 by the LA Independent Women Film Festival.

Her newest short, IFFY, a dark comedy that she wrote, directed and starred in, is just entering the festival circuit.

She’s also an AEA and SAG-AFTRA actress, who loves bold, provocative work. She’s been in dozens of plays and films, and is recognized for her strong, versatile presence and sharp sense of humor.
